For the opening of this edition, we propose the intervention of the Director General of the Information for the Security Department, Prefect Giovanni De Gennaro, who analyses the fundamental steps of the Reform Law of the Information Services.
The ‘Network’, as an instrument of participation, mobilization and struggle, is the subject of Forum, preceded by a thorough examination on the potentiality, management and control of the information flow which has created the Net Revolution: a globalized outcry which has inflaming many North African Countries.
Other contributions address subjects that are as varied as they are topical: from asymmetric wars which risk destabilizing the consolidated strategic technical tactics, to the STRs “Suspicious transaction Reports” a privileged instrument in the fight against ‘money laundering’; from animalist extremism to the disturbing phenomenon of the Satanic Sects. Among the items marked for ‘latest news’, is a meeting with Enrico Mentana and a new space, “Mediterranean Observatory”, in which one sees the initiatives which the European Union could adopt to retie the threads of dialogue and resume cooperation with the Arab-Mediterranean Countries.
In closing, there are anecdotes on the Intelligence of the past and a review of the book “La verità del terremoto” (“The truth about the earthquake”) concerning the terrible Abruzzi tragedy – a real test for the civil conscience of our Country.
