The 150th Anniversary of the Unification of Italy represents an opportunity for Gnosis to dedicate a “completely special Number” to this most important event in the history of our Country.
In opening, we present the speech of the President of the Republic held in the joint session of Parliament on the 17th March 2011, which traces with pride and intense feeling the most significant passages of the political, social and economic life of Italy. And it is to certain of these phenomena which have particularly marked this long historical period that Forum and part of the essays and articles are dedicated: the intention is to offer our readers an historical overview of events which are still dramatically current.
Particular attention is dedicated to a series of historical-archival and bibliographical insights which allow us to ‘browse’ through the boundless world of the Intelligence.
The space for topical events is reserved for the meeting with the Honourable Marco Minniti, President of the ICSA Foundation, who discusses the complex subject of the Intelligence and the protection of the national security in these times of globalization, 150 years from the Unification of Italy.
The entire publication, which is particularly voluminous, is accompanied by a rich photographic and archival documentation, for which we owe our thanks to the National Central Library and the Central Archives of the State.
